Southtown’s new Ludivine Bar has added a reason for local catering workers to celebrate Sunday Funday: a special menu for people who work in bars and restaurants.
The bar advertised the weekend’s event via social media, trumpeting $ 5 old-fashioned cocktails, $ 2.50 Lone Star beer, $ 4 select beers and other specials.
“With the number of restaurants closed on Sunday evenings and Mondays, we believe Sunday is a great time to share an appreciation through service sector discounts,” owner Mike Abad told the Running.
“With the current difficulty of hiring, I don’t know enough [guests] value people working in restaurants, bars, hotels and sporting events who continue to make their service and presentation of their products flawless.
The Ludivine Bar is located at 1014 S Presa St. It is open from 4:00 p.m. to midnight on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays and from 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
